Gutter repair in Austin
We fix leaking seams and corners, sagging runs, loose hangers, and gutters pulling away from the fascia. If the fascia board has rotted, we repair that too.

Leaks at seams, corners, and end caps
Most gutter leaks come from a seam between sections, a mitered corner, an end cap, or the outlet where the downspout drops. We clean the joint, reseal it, and refasten it. A leak that drips on the same spot every storm stains the fascia and the wall beneath it.
Sagging gutters and loose hangers
Gutters sag when hangers pull loose or the fascia behind them softens. A sagging run holds standing water, which adds weight and pulls more hangers loose. We rehang the run on hidden hangers screwed into solid wood and reset its pitch toward the downspout. Water should run to the outlet so it doesn’t sit in the gutter.
Fascia and soffit repair
Your gutters hang on the fascia board along the roof edge. Water that gets behind a gutter can rot the fascia and sometimes the soffit under it. We replace the rotted boards, then hang the gutter back on solid wood.
Repair or replace
One or two problem spots call for a repair. When a run has leaks along its length, rusted or split sections, or sags in several places, a new seamless run often costs less over time than patching it again. When we look at it, we’ll tell you whether we’d repair the run or recommend seamless gutter installation and replacement.
What repairs cost
HomeGuide’s gutter repair cost guide (dated November 2025) puts gutter repair at $100 to $450 on average, depending on the material, length, and damage. The cost guide has more on repair costs.
Questions about gutter repair
Why do my gutters leak at the corners?
Corners are often the first place a gutter leaks because the sealant there ages and lets go. On most gutters, each corner is a joint where two runs are cut and sealed.
Why does water pour over the front of the gutter?
Water usually pours over the front because of a clog, a run pitched away from its downspout, or a gutter that’s too small for the roof above it. We check all three. Our guide to gutter and downspout sizes covers undersized gutters.
Can you fix a gutter that’s pulling away from the house?
Yes, we can fix a gutter that’s pulling away from the house. We check whether the hangers or fascia failed, replace rotted wood if needed, and rehang the run on hidden hangers.
